In this video, Prof. John Ahr demonstrates how to use alcohol inks to color metal surfaces. The brilliant alcohol ink colors can be used on any number of metal items including handmade holiday ornaments. Use the techniques learned to make jewelry components or fun decorations for Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, New Years, and Valentines Day.
You can make your own alcohol inks or purchase them from a local craft store. Either way you'll have fun adding vibrant color to your projects.
There are videos for how to make all of the ornaments shown in this video on the OJA playlist. They are made from crafting foils. This type of foil is thicker than kitchen foil and thinner and softer than roof flashing. You'll find crafting foil at your local craft supply store.
Each of the items shown in this video are easily adapted for any occasion. One of our viewers used the techniques from the OJA videos to create ornaments to commemorate the anniversary of her church.
