Mechanisms and findings are necessary elements that help make jewelry wearable.  But more often than not, these simple devices do not add to the beauty of a design.  In this video, Professor John Ahr of the Online Jewelry Academy demonstrates the fabrication of an interesting wire clasp that provides you with design opportunities.

The wire clasp featured in this video can be constructed from most gauges of wire.  And, it can be made in a variety of sizes.  But it will function best if it is not too small or too big.  You can polish and work harden the finding using a jewelry tumbler.  The OJA has a video in its playlist on tumbling if you aren't sure how it's done.
