In this video, Professor John Ahr of the Online Jewelry Academy demonstrates a simple method for disposing of used pickle.  Watch this video before you throw your spent pickle down the drain.  If you throw your used pickle down the drain, you might wind up in a pickle.

All of us are concerned about preserving the environment. And, we all want to be good citizens.  This very brief video can help you to achieve both of these goals.

Most municipal sewage systems regularly introduce micro organisms into the system to help breakdown solid waste.  Elements such as copper are deadly to these microbes.  Used pickle solution contains a high level of copper sulfate.  So, it's best to keep spent pickle out of your local sewage system.

Remember, spent pickle can also be used to plate over silver solder on your soldered copper projects.  And the OJA has a video on how to do that as well.  So you might want to save a little of your spent pickle before you get rid of it.
