In this video, Professor John Ahr of the Online Jewelry Academy demonstrates how to make torch fired enamel earrings.  This step-by-step video explains the process from start to finish.  You'll learn all of the basics that will keep you working safely toward the completion of a successful project.

In the video, Prof. Ahr works on heavy gauge copper discs.  Because the copper material is at least 20 gauge in thickness, it eliminates the need for him to apply counter enamel to the reverse side of the projects shown.  This both saves time and money.

As you can see from the photo above, the enameled discs are prepared using a variety of tools and processes including: hammering, stamping and etching.  You'll find videos on each of these processes included in the OJA playlist.
