In this video, Prof. John Ahr demonstrates the uses of a tube cutting jig. This is a great tool that can help you to speed up your manufacturing processes.
A tube cutting jig is the sort of tool that once you own one you'll ask yourself why it took you so long to buy one. That's because it allows you to set it and forget it. Once you have the "stop" set to the correct distance, you can cut multiple lengths of tubing and wire that are all identical. And that sure beats having to stop and measure over and over again every single time.
One of my students used her tube cutting jig to make beads for earrings and necklaces. Another student used hers to make multiple hinged lockets.
